Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will support day to day accounting operations across multiple real estate entities. This is a junior level role ideal for someone with a foundation in general accounting who is highly organized, detail oriented, and dependable. The position will provide exposure to core accounting functions and an opportunity to grow within a fast paced, integrated real estate environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist with general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month end close processes
* Support preparation of monthly financial reports and ensure accuracy of financial data
* Help manage intercompany transactions and maintain supporting schedules
* Assist with cash tracking, expense review, and basic financial analysis
* Maintain organized documentation and support audit readiness
* Work with senior accounting staff on process improvements and data management
* Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all assigned tasks
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
* 2 years of general accounting experience
* Exposure to month end close, journal entries, or financial reporting strongly preferred
* Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage tasks effectively
* High level of responsibility and accountability
* Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting/filtering, basic data analysis)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and willingness to learn
